Description:
The Villa Park Public Library is seeking a creative, conscientious, service oriented individual to work as a member of the Youth Services Department. Primary focus is to provide excellent reference assistance to patrons of all ages. Knowledge of automated library systems and database searching is essential. A Bachelor’s degree is required. Previous work experience with children is preferred. Spanish language fluency is highly desirable. This position averages 12 hours per week. Hours include two regularly scheduled weekday shifts (3pm to 9pm), one Saturday out of four (9am to 5pm), and every other Sunday (1pm to 5pm) during the school year.

We have an immediate opening in our Chicago office for a top-notch Administrative Assistant. This position will focus on supporting consulting staff and senior management.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks, working independently with little or no supervision. This person must possess the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. We are looking for someone who is energetic, personable and takes a professional approach to their work. Overtime is required and may be unexpected at times.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant supporting multiple people, ideally in a Professional Services or Consulting firm environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Assist with preparation of proposal and presentation materials
- Strong writing skills, including proofreading and editing
- Arrange travel schedules and reservations, as needed
- Responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, to coordinate a variety of complex meetings
- Ability to conduct basic searches for subject matter over the internet
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently with clients and internal parties at all levels
- Demonstrate excellent customer service with individuals at all levels both internal and external, following through on issues in a timely manner
- Commitment to working collaboratively with other administrative assistants to maintain seamless coverage of department as needed
- Answer phones and route calls
- Receive, review and route incoming mail. Handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications on behalf of executives, as requested
- Other duties as assigned

The First Impression Person (receptionist) position at Credit Union 1 reports to the Branch Manager and the Assistant Branch Manager and maintains a positive relationship with colleagues.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
*Greets incoming visitors with courtesy and directs their requests to the proper department.
