New Members

To assist New Members with their transition into Vernon Park Church of God. Our team works to ensure new members complete all requirements for participating in the Church’s holistic ministry. We develop strategies to effectively prevent God’s people from being lost during the transition period.

Mission Statement:
Vernon Park Church of God Domestic Mission exists for the purpose of showing the world the love of God through the benevolent acts and actions of His Church. According to scripture these actions are to consist of but not limited to feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, clothing those without clothing, visiting those sick and imprisoned, and housing those that are without. We pledge to act without respect of person and with equality to all men and women created in the image of God.

 

International Missions

Comfort Ministry

Mission Statement:
V.I.C.T.O.R.S Ministry exists to lead persons that are in bondage to chemical dependency to a life of victory through the process of salvation, deliverance, healing, and wholeness. To lead them to an understanding through the shed blood of Jesus Christ our Savior as spelled out for us in the Word of God. They in turn will become victorious Christians who will then serve in supportive roles to lead others to the same testimony of victory.

Deacon Board

The Deacons of Vernon Park Church of God exist to serve as a part of the pastoral team to promote the spiritual life of the church through personal exemplary spirit-filled lives, and by sharing the gospel with the saved and unsaved. We follow the mandate of Acts 6-to assist in caring for the sick and shut-in.

 

Beautification Ministry

Tweens Ministry

The Pre-Teen Ministry (Tweens) believes the power of God to transform the lives of everyone who calls on Him to be saved. Therefore, the Tween Ministry exist to mentor, educate and reinforce the primary biblical principles to early adolescent youth in ways that relate to both their physical and spiritual development.
